Ayurveda
It literally means 'the science of living', Ayu meaning life and Veda meaning knowledge. It is a system of medicine that provides guidance regarding food and lifestyle so that people can maintain an optimum state of health.

Ayurveda aims at removing the cause of illness and not just curing the disease itself. Based solely on herbs and herbal compounds, Ayurvedic remedies do not operate against the body's metabolism. Their effect is registered gradually resulting in minimum side effects.

Panchakarma
This five-fold purification therapy aims at correcting the imbalance of the body's Doshas or bio energies (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) in order to maintain their inherent equilibrium and Ama, which forms as a result. Panchakarma therapy has three main stages : Poorvakarma, Pradhanakarma and Paschatkarma. Poorvakarma, the first stage, comprises essential preliminary procedures for preparing the body to unload stored toxins. The treatment help to loosen Ama (toxins) and move it out to the deep structures into the GI tract, where Panchakarma's cleaning therapies can then eliminate it. Pradhanakarma is the second stage and includes the main cleansing therapies. Paschatkarma is the final stage and describes the measures employed after the main treatment, such as diet, medicines and daily routine.

Prime Body Care in Ayurveda

Rejuvenation Therapy (Rasayana Chikilsa) 14 Days
This treatment includes body massage with hand and foot by two therapists with medicated oil and cream, internal rejuvenate medicines and medicated steam bath. This therapy is for 90 mins. to 2 hrs. per day for 7 days & 7 to 14 days. This therapy is to rejuvenate mind, body and soul, to tone up skin, to strengthen all systems so as to achieve ideal health and longevity.

Body Purification Therapy (Shodhana Cikilsa) 15 Days
It is a process of purifying the whole body to attain proper balance of vatha, pitha and kapha based on the panchakarma and swedakarama treatment. The 15 days package process includes body massage, snehapanam, nasyam, vireachanam (medicated purgative), snehavastha, dhara, pizhichil, njavarakizhi, karnapooranam, tharpanam, sirovasthi, steam bath and internal herbal medicines.

Body Immunization/Longevity Treatment (Kayakalap Chikilsa) 28 Days
This is the prime treatment in Ayurveda for reducing ageing processes, arresting the degeneration of the body cells and immunization of the system. Giving Rasayana (very Special Ayurvedic Medicine) internally is the main part of this programme, based on the panchakarma and swedakarma treatment. The 28 days package programme includes body massage, snehapanam, vireachanam, nasyam, snehavasthi, dhara, pizhichil, njavarakizhi, tharpanam, sirovasthi, karnapooranam and medicated steam bath. This treatment is best effective if taken before the age of 60 for either sex.

Slimming Programme 28 Days
This includes two types of massages (1) medicated herbal powder massage (2) medicated herbal oil massage. These two massages will be given for 28 days. This programme also includes medicated steam bath, intake of herbal juices and herbal tea. A very special Ayurvedic diet is advised during the treatment period.

Ayurveda Panchakarma
Beauty Care Programme 10 Days
This is a special treatment to keep your spine and neck healthy and to cure the problems related with it. This programme includes special massages kativasthi, snehavasthi, Kashayavasthi, pizhichil, njavarakizhi, special exercises etc.

Mukhalepam 1 Time
This is a herbal face pack with specially made herbal powder and fresh cream. This prevents and avoids wrinkles and improves the skin tone. This is also good for the eyes.

Rejuvenation Massage
This massage includes whole body massages with herbal oil or herbal powder by hand and foot, 90 mins. this is good for rejuvenating the body, to reduce mental tension sexual weakness to improve vitality etc.

General Massage
Body massage for 60 mins. with herbal oil or herbal powder by hand to tone up the body and to improve the blood circulation etc.

Medicated Herbal Steam Bath
This is an exudation process using medicated steam to reduce high blood pressure, stiffness, pain & swelling. During this steam bath, medicinal particles present in the herbal oil are absorbed by the body & the impurities within are excreted through sweat glands, kidneys & liver.

Prime Treatments in Ayurveda

Pizhichil 14 Days as well as 1 Time
In this treatment, lukewarm herbal oils are applied all over the body by two to four trained therapists in a special rhythmic way continuously for about 60 to 90 mins. per day for a period of 7 to 21 days. This treatment is very useful for Rheumatic diseases like arthritis, paralysis, hemiplegia, paralysis-agitanus, sexual weakness, nervous weakness and nervous disorders etc.

Njavarakkizhi 14 Days as well as 1 Time
This is also one of the process to correct neurological disorders, rheumatism, arthritis, high blood pressure, cholesterol, certain kinds of skin diseases and undernourishment of limbs. Hot medicinal pudding tied up in cloth pouches is applied on to the whole body or part. This is applied by 2-4 therapists for about 60-90 mins. per day for a period of 14 days.

Sirovasthi 14 Days as well as 1 Time
Certain lukewarm herbal oils are poured into a cap fitted on the head for 15 to 60 mins. per day according to the patients conditions for a period of 7 days. This treatment is highly effective for facial paralysis, dryness or nostrils, mouth and throat, severe headaches and other vatha originated diseases.

Sirodhara 14 Days as well as 1 Time
This is a special Ayurvedic treatment in which medicated oil is poured on the forehead and head continuously. It prevents and cures diseases like paralysis, senile dementia, other neurological ailments and certain psychiatric diseases. This treatment also improves memory.

Kativasthi
In this process specially prepared warm medicated oil is kept over the lower back with herbal paste boundary. This treatment lasts for 45 mins. to 1 hr. and it is good for any time of back pain and spinal disorders.

Urovasthi
Like Kativasthi warm medicated oil is kept over the chest for 45 mins. this is an effective treatment for asthma, other respiratory problems, heart diseases and muscular chest pain.

Ksheeradhoomam
This is fomentation with medicated cow milk. This treatment is good for facial paralysis. Bell's palsy, speech disorders and other nervous disorders of the face.

Thalam
Special powder mixed with medicated oil applying on the top of the head for 20 to 45 mins. This treatment is helpful for ENT problems, isomnia, migraine etc.

Lepanam
This is a process by which medicated herbal paste is applied on the affected part. This is useful for various types of inflammatory conditions.
